Graze-February-2017-0001

Graze is a mini-snack subscription box that sends a customized selection of treats weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. They offer over 100 different snacks that you can rate online, which, over time, helps tailor your subscription to your particular snacking preferences.

For subscribers with food sensitivities, it’s easy to trash snacks that contain gluten, dairy, or any other specific ingredient; however, Graze snacks are produced in a facility with nuts, wheat, milk, and many other foods that might not make this subscription a good fit for anyone with severe food allergies.

Boxes are shipped via USPS and are conveniently designed to fit in most standard mailboxes.

This is a review of the specialized “Afternoon Pick-Me-Up Box” which focuses on snacks full of protein and fiber to power you through your day.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Cocoa Orange Bites + Green Tea

I really enjoy these little tea + snack servings – and this one is easily the best I’ve ever had.

The cocoa orange bite is so soft and flavorful – I think I’d like a big pack of just these! Paired with green tea – it’s definitely a nice pick-me-up.

Dark Chocolate Cherry Tart

This is a new additional for Graze and adds to their “deconstructed” line where they take a popular indulgence, like cheesecake, and try to get the same flavor with healthy ingredients.

Graze-February-2017-0031

The chocolate really cuts the tartness of the cherries nicely. The only issue is that the chocolate buttons are much larger than everything else, and far fewer – so you’ll just need to plan out your cherry to chocolate ratio while snacking.

Original Protein Flapjack

If you read my Graze reviews, you might know that I’m very partial to Flapjacks – check out my review of the Flapjacks-Only box, too.

Graze-February-2017-0025

These are about as basic as a flapjack can get. As always, it’s soft and chewable while still getting a little crunch from the rolled oats. While I’m not a fan of pumpkin or sunflower seeds – this combo is still good, and all three flapjacks are gone!

Garden of England

This snack is an all-fruit combination snack. You’ll find strawberries, apple, and black currants inside.

Graze-February-2017-0011

I’m a big fan of the way they dry out their apple slices. They’re still so soft and chewable! And the mini strawberries – amazing – I only wish there were more in the pack. Overall, one of my favorites.

Summertime Punch

This is a new snack that I don’t believe I’ve ever tried. Again – this is all fruit – goldenberries, pineapple, and coconut flakes.

Graze-February-2017-0014

Be prepared – this can be a bit tart! Overall, it’s a really nice flavor mixture, but it’s not one that I’d pick from a selection.

Graze-February-2017-0021

Pizza Margherita

This is the only savory snack for me this month. It’s a nice mix of a cheesy bread flavor.

Graze-February-2017-0022

The cheese cashews steal the show for me. And combining them with the crunch of the tomato breadsticks and basil crunchini – A+.

Graze-February-2017-0027

Booster Seeds

Graze offers a few different seed-only snacks as well. Booster Seeds is a combination of sunflower, pumpkin, and flax seeds.

Graze-February-2017-0028

Like I stated above, I’m not a fan of sunflower or pumpkin seeds. Without the sweetness of the rolled oats, this was one that shy away from.

Graze-February-2017-0006

Black Pepper Popcorn

The final item is a mini bag of black pepper popcorn.

Graze-February-2017-0008

Black pepper is my seasoning of choice for popcorn, so I’m happy to indulge in a mini bag every once in a while. These popcorn bags tend to pop up a lot with Graze, so don’t be surprised if it’s one of the first snacks you receive.

Verdict: I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this specialty box, but I was pleasantly surprised with the taste mixture varying from sweet to savory. I think Graze is the best snack choice if you’re looking to watch your calories or want a little something for the office. My suggestion is to start off with the 8-snack box and then try all the specialty boxes!
