The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 8

Each quarter has its own theme. The first-ever theme was Nicktoons! Being raised on, pretty much, all of the Nicktoons – this was about as excited as I get for a box.

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 6

Let’s start with the beautiful Nicktoons-themed packaging.

The Nick Box - collage

Your favorite Nicktoons are in every corner of this box! It’s an instant flashback!

This year is also Nicktoons’ 25 year anniversary! They started with, what are now, 3 classics – Rugrats, Doug, and Ren & Stimpy!

Here’s a great video to get you ready for the review:

Ok – on to the box!

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 38

Chucky Cosplay Shirt + Glasses – Value $25+?

I saw the spoilers before getting this box – the Chucky shirt and glasses seemed fun, but I couldn’t tell what to really expect. The shirt and glasses were much higher quality than pictures led me to believe – which is fantastic.

Liz modeled this for me since the shirt size was a medium. Who wore it better??

The Nick Box - Stimpy collage

Stimpy Mug – Value $15-20?

This is THE item of the box for me. I grew up on Ren & Stimpy – and still love to watch episodes every once in a while. I can only hope that they will give us a matching Ren mug someday. This mug is a hand painted – again, the spoiler pictures left that hard to tell – which probably isn’t my first preference for a painted mug, but I absolutely love it either way.

The Nick Box - Spunky collage

Spunky Plush – Value $15+?

If Ren & Stimpy was my favorite show, Rocko’s Modern Life is a very close second. Spunky is Rocko’s trusty companion – I have a feeling I’ll be fighting my trusty companion Buckles, off of this plush toy as soon as I’m finished with this review!

Spunky sits about 10 inches tall.

Cynthia Doll – Value $15-20

All ’90s Nicktoons fans know this doll. Liz always wanted her own Cynthia doll – now we have one!

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 19

The body and hair are a flexible plastic, while the dress is fabric. Angelica would approve. Cynthia is about 10 inches tall, and has the Barbie doll feel!

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 12

The Nick Box - Reptar collage

Reptar Vinyl Figure – Value $10-15?

Tommy Pickles idolized this dinosaur – it’s Reptar! Little did I know, but there are theme park rides featuring the Rugrats and Reptar in Ohio and North Carolina!

Reptar stands about 5 inches tall.

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 23

The Nick Box - Coasters collage

Rugrats Coasters – Value $10-15+

I was hoping these were plastic and not cardboard when seeing the spoilers – and they are! They are a flexible plastic featuring all the main characters from Rugrats!

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 32

They’re thick, too – hopefully, you can see that in the picture – they even, kind of, stick to this surface so you won’t get into the situation where you lift your glass and the coaster is stuck to it.

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 26

Greeting Cards – Value $10+

Subscribers received 4 themed greeting cards. They featured: The Wild Thornberrys, AAAHH Real Monsters!, Angry Beavers, and Hey Arnold!

I was a little older when all of these started airing – but I loved them all anyways! I remember watching a block of these cartoons when I got home from school. These bring back all the feels!

Here’s a closer look at the cards:

These are fun and unique – I don’t think you’d be able to buy an AAAHH Real Monsters card anywhere, anymore.

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 22

CatDog 8GB USB – Value $20+?

My new favorite USB drive. CatDog was a show that I didn’t immediately care for – but then I kind of fell in love with the show after numerous after school binge-watching sessions.

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 21

This USB breaks apart at the waist, just like Cat always wanted, but could never go through with.

The Nick Box Summer 2016 - 20

Iron-On Patches – Value $10?

The final item in the box is a set of 5 iron-on patches. The patches feature Rocko’s Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold, AAAHH Real Monsters, and Angry Beavers! I’m not the biggest patch fan – but this is a great subset of, probably, my favorite Nicktoons!

Verdict: What a fun box! I don’t think I was ever more giddy for a box than this when this was announced – luckily it blew my expectations out of the water! Not only is the value amazing – but all the items are licensed and exclusive.  I’ve added up about $150 in value for the first box -if they can keep that up, this box will absolutely be a must-have for anyone who grew up with ’90s Nickelodeon!

Another reminder – This box is still available! Order before the end of August and this will be your first box!!

What do you think of the first-ever The Nick Box?
